Search for "chicken" on Cookidoo® for your dinner inspiration. From fuss-free midweek chicken dinners to weekend roasts, we have it all. Chicken is easy to prepare and nutritious to eat, a go-to ingredient that can be stewed, steamed, baked, fried, shredded and curried. And since we know that life can get stressful and you sometimes don't have a lot of time and energy to cook, here are some dinner ideas that will be on the table in 30 minutes!

• Boneless chicken breast is tender and delicate. For a succulent result, steam in Varoma. You can pan-fry the breasts first for color , and then line the Varoma tray with parchment paper to catch the steaming juices. This makes a delicious sauce when added to the pan drippings.
• Legs and thighs when marinated and cooked slowly are moist and flavorful.
• Current food safety advises not to wash or rinse chicken before cooking, to avoid splashing bacteria in the sink.
• Make a nutritious chicken stock by covering the chicken bones and any leftover skin with water. Add aromatic herbs and vegetables and boil for 1 hour. Strain and use the stock to flavor soups, sauces, risotto or stews.
• Don’t allow leftover cooked chicken go to waste: take it off the bone and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, then shred it and add it to salads, sandwiches, fajitas or wraps. It’s also delicious in stir-frys, soups or risottos.
• Steaming whole chicken in the Varoma keeps it moist and flavorful. Baking it briefly at the end in a hot oven will give it a golden finish. Leftover chicken is great cold.
